Japanese born Artist Painter, Noriko Imai settled in 1981
on the North shore of the Saint Lawrence river in Quebec,
Canada. Inspired by the migrating birds and the wild nature
of the Mingan Archipelago Islands, she started watercolours
around that time. She moved to Quebec City (Cap-Rouge) in
2002. Until today she keeps exploring mixed media techniques,
fusion of batik and watercolouring, etc. Her artistic commitment
is to constantly challenge herself by calling into question
her work while keeping experimenting new artistic paths. She
participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions, both
in Quebec and abroad, where she was recepient of several scolarships,
awards and endorsements.
