Self-taught, I started painting watercolor only 5 years ago and have since participated in more than 100 juried exhibitions all over the United States, winning more than 40 awards.
My favorite subjects include landscapes, particularly streetscapes of places where I have traveled that are special to me: Japan, California, France, Italy, Spain, etc.
I have a passion for finding subjects at the grassroots’ level.  That is why figures (people) in my painting often set the mood in it, telling a story of their life.
Because I essentially let my emotions lead me to the completion of each of my paintings, planning is very important to me before I begin painting.
