His creations are part of private collections in France, Germany, England, Holland and Belgium. His style can be classified contemporary figuration in free. A writer told at the Salon of the Independent in 2002:The spatial visions of Bernard Courtalon are usually the cause of the landscape, but the external appearance of the scene gradually fades once translated into the language of the painter. Nothing survives if it is a scaffolding of colours and rhythms that, because of its structure virtually free of gravity, clearly suggests the vastness and power of absorption of space.
